Customizing My Libraries allows you to manage the content of your daily news alerts, set your default search scope, and define default settings for the coverage tool. My Libraries settings can be modified at any time.
- To customize My Libraries, click the link in the bar at the top of the screen.
-
Select or deselect by checking boxes. You can select/deselect an entire library or click the plus symbol (+) to expand it and select items within that library.
NOTE: A checkmark in the right column indicates a fully enabled library; a blank box indicates a disabled library; and a hyphen indicates a partially enabled library. -
Once you have made your selections, click Apply to save your settings.
- Click Home and view the options for your search:
-
-
- My Libraries - Search the Libraries you're selected
- All Libraries - Searches all Libraries regardless of your My Libraries selections
- Advanced Search - Search using date range, connections and other search options
- Browsed Libraries - Search a sub-section of content you have browsed to
-
TIPS:
- To limit search results from the archived Coding & Payment (By Year) library and to receive updates on pre-release codebooks, limit selection to the upcoming year for this library.
- To streamline Medicare coverage alerts and set preferences for your Coverage Search Tool, select National and your preferred state in the Coverage library. This library contains material from the Current Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC).
NOTE: Selecting a single state from a MAC Jurisdiction avoids duplication in your alerts.
- Many users turn off the Coverage (Archived) library or select only a preferred state.
- If you subscribe to any CCH, Aspen or MedLearn add-on titles, be certain to enable the Expert Guidance Add-Ons section.
- Consider specifying only desired Agencies in the Federal Regulations (CFR & FR) library for Federal Register updates.
- Select only preferred states in the State Laws, Regs & Medicaid library.
- Select only components of the Miscellaneous Archives library routinely needed in search results.
